Korokke is the Japanese version of a nugget. The main ingredient is mashed potatoes and it is combined either with chopped meat, seafood or vegetables. The korokke can be dipped in worcestershire sauce or simply in ketchup.

  1. Oh yum! I was just looking at a recipe to make something similar using potato and it had mozzarella cheese in the center. Then bread it and fry it. Yours sound better though with the meat and onions!

  2. This looks so good and I would serve this as an appetizer at any dinner party!

  3. hi! may i know what kind of bread crumbs u r using in the pix above? brand n type?

  4. Hi, sorry for the late reply, just got back from vacation. I use Progresso Plain bread crumb, but the korokke was made at my friend's place. I don't remember exactly the name. It is a yellow container with a picture of a breaded drumstick. It is a common brand, it can be found in any supermarket. I do remember that the bread crumbs contain Italian seasonings and Parmesan. Hope it helps.
